Well its been a long summer and very enjoyable fall season this year. In our back yard we have been feeding a family of hummingbirds all year long. They buzz down out of this very large neighboring cedar tree which is where we suspect they actually have nested. This provides protection from hawks and eagles. Trying to capture a good photo of the little birds at the feeder has been a challenge for me because the feeder is hanging under the roof eave in the shade. I keep seeing all these wonderful hummingbird photos posted on the web...you know the ones in flight hovering above bring flowers in the sunshine. Well at least I managed to get in close enough and the Canon 100-400 zoom made this photo possible. Hope you like it...enjoy...
